Texas Longhorns senior defensive end and tight end Rob Cummins has entered the graduate transfer portal, 247Sports reports.
From 247Sports: “The fourth-year lineman announced ... last December that he would medically retire from football after knee injuries plagued his path to the field. Cummins did not appear in a game during the 2018 or 2019 seasons after redshirting in 2017.”
“I’ve been rehabbing for basically three years, my entire time at The University of Texas,” Cummins said at the time of his retirement. “After this past surgery I had in August and after long talks with my doctor and family it was obvious to me the best decision was to stop playing football and medically retire from The University of Texas.
