On Nov. 3, as the nation prepares to elect some of its leaders, the Texas Longhorns football team will be provided the day off from practice to go exercise their democratic right, according to the Austin American-Statesman. Head coach Tom Herman made the announcement Monday.
“The plan is to give them that Tuesday off from any football-related activities and provide transportation for those that want to go vote so that we can make sure that there really is no excuse not to go vote,” Herman said, per the Statesman. “We’re gonna do our part as a program to facilitate that for them.
