Bevo’s Daily Roundup: Texas AD Chris Del Conte: Expect 25 percent stadium capacity for season ticket holders

Texas Longhorns officials are planning to limit football stadium capacity to 25 percent this year, the Austin American-Statesman reports.

From the Statesman: “In an email sent to Texas season ticket holders on Sunday, athletic director Chris Del Conte confirmed the school is moving ahead with a ‘safe, socially-distanced seating plan’ using 25% stadium capacity. Royal-Memorial Stadium’s current capacity is under 100,000 because of south end zone stadium construction. It’s expected that 25% capacity would be about 24,000 tickets. Gov. Greg Abbott has issued a statewide mandate of a 50% stadium capacity because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
