COVID-19 has struck the 2020 college football season yet again. This time, 247Sports reports, Saturday’s game between the North Texas Mean Green and UTEP Miners has been postponed after the city of El Paso issues another stay-at-home order as positive rates peak.
“We are disappointed to have our first postponement of a Conference USA game, but the health and safety of our student-athletes, staff and coaches is our number one priority,” said North Texas President Neal Smatresk in a statement. “We send our best wishes to the entire El Paso community as they face the challenge of dealing with the latest outbreak.
