Texas A&M Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher said his peace on the program’s rivalry with the Texas Longhorns on KLBJ News Radio in Austin over the weekend. Per Fisher’s take on the situation, it seems as though the rivalry has no chance of renewal in the next 10 years.
“Right now, that decision [to end the rivalry] was made a long time ago, and we have no control over it,” Fisher said in the interview, per 247Sports. “There were some things done there that are water under the bridge and I don’t know what all of that was, but I know right now there’s no way [the Lone Star Showdown] is going to happen for 10 years or so.
