Wednesday was a terrible day for college sports.
As reported by USA Today, in the span of about 10 hours, Stanford cut 11 of its 36 varsity sports programs, like hockey, wrestling and men’s volleyball – which is a shame in its own. Then Ohio State also announced the Buckeyes would be pausing workouts in seven sports, including football, after receiving less-than-desirable results from their COVID-19 tests. North Carolina followed up with similar news when the program learned of their results.
Here’s to hoping the college football season goes on.
