Bevo’s Daily Roundup: Former Texas QB Camerson Rising out for season at Utah

Former Texas Longhorns quarterback-turned-Utah Utes graduate transfer Cameron Rising, who left the program after redshirting for one season, is out for the year, 247Sports reports.

From 247Sports: “Jake Bentley, a graduate transfer from South Carolina, will take over as the starter for the Utes. Rising started the first game of the season last weekend for Utah, but suffered an apparent injury, which led to Bentley taking over for him in the game. Rising went just 3-of-6 fore 45 yards and one interception before his injury. When Bentley entered the game, he went 16-of-28 for 171 yards and a touchdown, as well as two interceptions.
