The Texas football team not only heads to Dallas to face the Oklahoma Sooners without its mojo, now the Longhorns will be without its famous mascot due to a life-threatening illness.
Bevo XIV will not be attending this weekend’s OU game due to a life-threatening condition. He has been Texas’ mascot since 2004.

The current Bevo is in his 12th year as the iconic school mascot. Silver Spurs Alumni Association executive director Ricky Brennes issued the following statement on the Longhorn’s condition (the Silver Spurs care for him).
