The Texas Longhorns are officially one of two finalists for Texarkana Texas High edge defender Derrick Brown, who announced the Baylor Bears as the other remaining contender on Monday.
A 6’4, 210-pounder who is rated as a consensus four-star prospect, Brown visited Austin during the first visit weekend in June after the dead period was finally lifted for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic started. Brown seemed to come away impressed with what he saw.
