AUSTIN, Texas – With nearly 24 hours between the eighth and ninth innings, Texas Baseball won a resumed game over Texas State 9-1 on Wednesday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (20-13) held a 9-1 lead on Tuesday at Bobcat Ballpark before the game was halted due to inclement weather. The game was resumed on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and featured a scoreless ninth inning.
Chase Lummus started and pitched a career-high tying five shutout innings with three strikeouts to pick up the win. The only hit he allowed was to the first batter he faced to start the game.
