AUSTIN, Texas – On the back of two home runs and timely relief pitching, Texas Baseball won the series finale over Oklahoma, 6-4, Friday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (27-27, 7-16 Big 12) scored in each of the first four innings and got out to a 6-2 lead and held on for the win.
The Longhorns struck first in the series finale, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Eric Kennedy walked to start the game and Duke Ellis doubled to put two runners in scoring position. Lance Ford drove in the first run with an RBI groundout and Zach Zubia made it 2-0 with a sacrifice fly.
