AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball picked up its second-straight walk-off win, beating No. 14 Texas Tech 9-8 to complete the sweep of the Red Raiders on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (18-7, 3-0) went into the bottom of the ninth tied for the second-straight day when Garret Guillemette stepped to the plate and blasted a 407-foot walk-off home run to left field.
Ace Whitehead picked up the win in relief, improving to 2-0 on the season, after pitching 1.1 innings and allowing one run and striking out two batters.
