LAWRENCE, Kan. – Dylan Campbell made history as Texas Baseball held on for a narrow 7-6 win over Kansas to clinch the series on Sunday at Hoglund Ballpark.
The Longhorns (32-17, 12-9) scored four runs in the seventh and closed out the series win.
Campbell went 2-for-3 and wrote himself into Texas Baseball history by extending his hitting streak to a program record 26 games. He broke the previous record of a 25-game hitting streak by Michael Torres in 2008.
Travis Sthele pitched well in relief and picked up the win, tossing 5.
