AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball pounded out a season-high 16 runs to finish of the sweep off Manhattan with a 16-6 win on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (9-7) scored in all eight innings they stepped to the plate and all nine Longhorn starters had at least one hit, while seven of the nine drove in at least one run.
Porter Brown went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI, while Peyton Powell finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a solo home run.
Travis Sthele was perfect through the first four innings before Manhattan was able to get to him in the fifth and sixth.
