AUSTIN, Texas—For the first time since 2011, Texas Baseball has been selected to host an NCAA regional at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns (37-20, 17-7 Big 12) are set as the No. 1 seed in the Austin Regional with the remainder of the field to be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.
The 2018 Austin Regional, set to begin on Friday, will be the 26th time that UFCU Disch-Falk Field has hosted an NCAA regional, with the last coming in 2011. The last postseason baseball at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, however, was the 2014 Super Regional in which Longhorns defeated Houston, two games to none, to advance to the College World Series in Omaha.
