AUSTIN, Texas—On a day spent remembering the life and legacy of former Texas Baseball head coach and No. 16 Augie Garrido, it would be hard to script it any better as the Longhorns collected 16 hits en route to a 14-4 win over Kansas on Friday, March 16, at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Following a moment of silence for the late Garrido, who passed away early Thursday morning, the Longhorns, who wore black armbands in memoriam, wasted no time putting runs on the board.
RBI singles form Zach Zubia and Ryan Reynolds gave Texas an early 2-0 advantage in the game.
