Baseball drops series finale to Indiana

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball was unable to complete the sweep of Indiana, falling 4-2 to the Hoosiers in the series finale on Sunday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns (3-4) held a 2-0 lead heading into the sixth inning but the Hoosiers scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to get the win.

Travis Sthele started and had the longest outing of his career, pitching 5.2 innings and striking out six batters. He was charged with three runs on five hits but he didn't allow any free passes.

Charlie Hurley pitched the final three innings out of the bullpen and was outstanding, allowing just one hit and striking out six batters.
