AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball gave up six runs in the fourth inning and were unable to mount a comeback, falling 7-3 to Texas State on Wednesday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The Longhorns (20-14, 7-5) will head back on the road this weekend for a three-game Big 12 Conference series against Houston.
After homering twice in Tuesday's game against the Bobcats, Jared Thomas hit another homer on Wednesday night and finished 2-for-4 with one RBI in the game. Max Belyeu also went 2-for-4 and had an RBI double.
Easton Tumis started and pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on just two hits and was charged with the loss.
