AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball had two players selected on the final day of the 2022 MLB Draft to bring the Longhorns total to eight draft picks. The eight players selected are the most for the Longhorns since the 2017 season and tied for the fourth-most by any school in this year's draft.
Jared Southard was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the 12th round and Skyler Messinger was picked in the 19th round by the Colorado Rockies
