MANHATTAN, Kan. – Texas Baseball hammered out 21 runs on 22 hits to beat No. 23 Kansas State, 21-11, and even the series on Friday at Tointon Family Stadium.
The Longhorns (16-11, 5-3), who will have an opportunity to win the series on Saturday at 2 p.m., finished with six doubles and four homers in the game.
The game was back-and forth from the sixth inning on, after K-State erased an 8-3 lead to tie the game 8-8 going to the seventh. The Longhorns scored three in the top of the seventh before the Wildcats tied the game back up in the bottom half.
