Assessing every possible RB option for Texas

The Tuesday injury news from the Texas Longhorns that freshman running back Christian Clark will miss the 2024 season after tearing his Achiless tendon during practice on Monday conjured memories of the 2019 running back disaster under former head coach Tom Herman as Clark joined sophomore CJ Baxter on the season-ending injury list.

Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian and running backs coach Tashard Choice are now down to three healthy scholarship running backs, thinning the margins at a key position heading into a season with lofty expectations.

So where could Texas look to find some added depth at the position, from options among other scholarship players, the current walk ons, and a couple other athletes on campus who could make sense as non-scholarship additions?
