The college football world blew up over the reported firing of Texas head coach Charlie Strong Saturday night.
But according to Kirk Herbstreit, Strong said his bosses in the athletic department haven't told him anything.
"He said 'Yeah, I'm hearing that I've been let go from everybody,'" Herbstreit said on ESPN Sunday night. "[Strong told me] 'everybody here is assuming I've been fired. But the tricky part is nobody's told me anything. I haven't heard from the University at all.'"

Athletic director Mike Perrin released a statement Saturday evening saying the team is still evaluating the coaching staff.
