Angilau named to preseason award watch list

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football OL Junior Angilau was named to the 2019 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award watch list on Tuesday. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player that epitomizes great ability and integrity.

Angilau, a Salt Lake City, Utah native, is a second-year offensive lineman who was an All-America and all-state competitor in high school. Angilau did not compete as a redshirt last year, but prior to his arrival at UT, he participated in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Angilau also helped anchor East High School to three-straight state title game appearances, including back-to-back championships as a sophomore and junior.
