LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Texas players hugged friends and family on the visitor's side of Kansas Memorial Stadium before heading to a locker room scene far different than the one they departed two years ago.
The raucous celebration was on after the 24-17 win Friday over Kansas.
"Who was dancing? Everyone," defensive end Charles Omenihu said.
The players had plenty of reason. The Longhorns clinched their spot in the Big 12 championship game. Texas will face the winner of Friday's late game between Oklahoma and West Virginia at AT&T Stadium on Dec. 1. The Longhorns (9-3, 6-2 Big 12) will be making their sixth appearance in the Big 12 title game and first since 2009.
