AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas senior guard Joanne Allen-Taylor has been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-District First Team by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday.
The annual award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
In the classroom, Allen-Taylor boasts a 3.66 cumulative grade point average as a mechanical engineering major. She was named the Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2021 and is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.
