IRVING -- If Alex Moon keeps this up, he's going to be known for a lot more than just being Jordan Spieth's roommate.
After all, he made the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson Classic, and his roomie didn't.
The 27-year-old former Texas teammate of Spieth put himself in a tough spot after brutal playing conditions on Thursday afternoon led to a 4-over-par 74.
But on Friday, Moon took advantage of a lull in the breeze and rolled out a 4-under 66 to make the cut with room to spare. It will be the first time he'll play on the weekend in a PGA Tour event.
