Though unheard of today, at least 14 Longhorn football players have also been undergrads at Texas A&M.

The University of Texas and the institution then known as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas met on a football field for the first time on October 19, 1894. Texas won that first game by a score of 38-0. Texas and Texas A&M were regular opponents for most of the next 117 years, but it took some time for that game to become a true rivalry.
