AUSTIN -- Texas coach Tom Herman met with the media on Monday for his weekly press conference to discuss the Longhorns' defensive woes lately, as well as moving onto Saturday night's challenge against Texas Tech (5-4, 3-3 Big 12) on the road.

1. Answering the recent defensive struggles
After a relatively strong first half of the season for Texas' defense, the Longhorns (6-3, 4-2 Big 12) now have a bit of a mess on their hands. Defensive coordinator Todd Orlando's group has struggled the past two weeks in losses against Oklahoma State and West Virginia.
