AUSTIN -- Not many could have expected what transpired on Saturday night at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, but, nonetheless, no one wearing burnt orange was left complaining.
The Longhorns shook off a slow start and dominated No. 22 USC, 37-14, in front of a sellout crowd of 103,507 -- the largest in school history. It was also Texas' 900th win in program history.
Here are five takeaways from Saturday night's game:
1. Texas makes big 4th and goal stand in first half, then catches break with controversial no safety call
There was a pivotal sequence midway through the second quarter where the Longhorns caught some big breaks.
