AUSTIN -- The Longhorns rebounded Saturday night at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium with a 28-21 win over Tulsa in their home opener.
Here are five takeaways from Texas' win:
1. No slow start for Texas' offense this week
There was no slow start to this one for Texas. Head coach Tom Herman and the Longhorns spent the past week chalking up their painfully slow start to Maryland in last week's season-opening loss at FedEx Field to guys just trying too hard. Texas trailed 24-7 at one point in the first half then.
But on Saturday night, the Longhorns jumped out to an early lead over Tulsa and never looked back.
