The pace for the Texas basketball program on the recruiting trail of late is anything but torrid. Not only does Texas basketball not have a commit yet beyond the 2019 recruiting class, it doesn’t really have anything close lined up yet among uncommitted prospects.
We need to see more out of head Texas basketball coach Shaka Smart both from his team on the court and with some future recruiting classes. Since most of the success Smart saw during his time on the Forty Acres in four years came on the recruiting trail, the fact that the next two full recruiting cycles don’t have a single commit in line yet is worrisome.
