Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian faced minimal roster attrition during the offseason. Among the dozen or so departures to the NCAA Transfer Portal from Texas, only a couple of them were going to be able to push for a spot on the two-deep during fall camp this year.
This was another successful transfer portal cycle for Sark and the Longhorns staff in terms of adding key pieces to the roster. Texas picked up transfer commitments from impact players on the two-deep, such as the former Georgia Bulldogs sophomore wide receiver AD Mitchell, Wake Forest Demon Deacons redshirt junior cornerback Gavin Holmes, and Arkansas Razorbacks senior safety Jalen Catalon, among a couple of others.
