There are a lot of expectations in 2018 for Texas to build off of last year's 7-6 season and Academy Sports and Outdoors Bowl win over Missouri. There's no shortage of talent, depth and experience, but do the Longhorns have the mettle to finally turn things around? Here are five bold predictions for Texas in 2018:
1. Texas will win at least nine games in 2018.
The good news for the Longhorns is that some big-time opponents on the schedule took major hits at quarterback in the offseason. Oklahoma lost Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma State lost Mason Rudolph, TCU lost Kenny Hill and USC lost Sam Darnold.
