Four star Spearman (TX) wide receiver Brenen Thompson revealed his top six schools last night via his Twitter page, and the speedster named the Longhorns as one of his finalists.
Thompson has been a top priority for Steve Sarkisian and his staff since they arrived in Austin, and they recently hosted the speedster for an unofficial visit.
Thompson’s finalists were rounded out by Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Oregon, and Texas A&M, so along with some regional rivals Texas will also have to compete with some national powers to win out here.
At one point it looked like the signs pointed towards Clemson, but the Longhorns have been working diligently on trying to keep Thompson in-state and closer to home.
