As expected, the Texas Longhorns will have to wait a few more weeks before Houston North Forest offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd officially joins Tom Herman’s 2019 recruiting class.
Per a report from Orangebloods’ Jason Suchomel, the four-star interior talent won’t be joining the rest of Texas’ 2019 class in signing on Wednesday, but rather, he’ll postpone putting pen to paper until February.

One of two offensive tackle additions to Texas’ 2019 class, along with the already-signed Conroe Oak Ridge star Tyler Johnson, Shepherd is ranked as the nation’s No.
