One of the top cornerbacks in the Lone Star State is close to announcing a commitment, as Dallas Kimball product and key Texas Longhorns target Ishmael Ibraheem announced on June 1 that he will decide on June 15.
In early April, Ibraheem released a list of his top 10 schools — Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M. So there are a host of national programs that remain in contention for the 6’1, 175-pounder.
The Longhorns have been in the mix for Ibraheem since offering him last summer. Since then, Texas has had plenty of turnover on the coaching staff, including the hire of a new defensive coordinator and new cornerbacks coach.
