Shaka Smart’s program is one of just five still standing in the mix with Missouri City Elkins shooting guard Donovan Williams.
On Monday morning, the four-star Houston-area product announced his final five and the Texas Longhorns are still an option, alongside Arizona State, Texas A&M, Miami, and Georgia.
“The staff and rich tradition is really what drew me to Texas and there is playing time for me right when I step onto campus, that is if I earn it,” Williams told Rivals’ Corey Evans of why Texas survived his cut.
In addition to announcing his final five schools, Williams has also scheduled official visits to each.
