Just weeks after naming the Texas Longhorns in his final nine on June 4, coveted Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity Christian School small forward Greg Gantt is scheduled to officially visit Shaka Smart’s program. According to a report from Rivals’ Corey Evans, Gantt will officially visit Providence on Sept. 8, Texas the following weekend on Sept. 15, and Florida on Oct. 13.
Along with the Friars, Longhorns, and Gators, Gantt is evaluating Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Pitt, Alabama, and Vanderbilt as potential landing spots. He’s visit Georgia and Clemson this month on an unofficial basis.
A priority prospect for Smart this cycle, Texas receiving one of Gantt’s official visits is further proof that the Longhorns are a power player in the 6-foot-7 wing’s recruitment, and he told Evans why Texas is factor.
