The Texas Longhorns were looking for recruiting answers in the trenches and got good news on Monday evening with the commitment of four-star defensive end Zac Swanson following his visit to Austin.
The 6’4, 255-pound defender from Brophy College Prep in Phoenix holds 17 offers, including the USC Trojans, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oregon Ducks. His commitment represents continued evidence that not only will the Longhorns head west to find talent, but they are likely to do well leveraging those connections.
Swanson is a big body in the trenches, with significant athletic upside as well as impressive body control already.
