The Texas Longhorns added a key piece to the defensive class as Port Arthur Memorial defensive end Jordon Thomas finalized his process and submitted his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
The four-star defensive end, like all of his classmates, chose Texas without taking an official visit due to COVID-19 changing the NCAA recruiting cycles. He narrowed his choices to Texas and the Texas A&M Aggies in April after taking three visits to College Station early in the process. A month later, he announced his commitment to the Longhorns.
Coming in as a 6’3, 240-pound freshman, Thomas gives defensive line coach Oscar Giles a ton of physical talent with which to work.
