On Early Signing Day, the Texas Longhorns secured a signature from Pasadena (Calif.) Muir cornerback Jamier Johnson, who originally committed to the Longhorns back in July.
The 6’0, 170-pounder is a consensus four-star talent who with Texas over a list of other finalists such as Nebraska, USC, Ohio State, Arizona State, Colorado, and Oregon. Of that bunch, Oregon was considered a team to beat early on. However, the Ducks filled some spots at the cornerback position since Johnson announced his finalists in April, which likely helped the Horns to ultimately begin surging late.
