Once again, the Texas Longhorns have landed an elite-level talent out of the St. Louis area, as 2019 wide receiver signee Marcus Washington’s former teammate at Trinity Catholic, athlete Mookie Cooper, committed to the Horns during a Junior Day visit on Saturday:
The 5’9, 178-pounder has been a target for Texas since he picked up an offer in September of 2017. After visiting multiple times, Cooper decided to shut down his commitment and join his high school teammate in Austin.
“I’ve been liking Texas since my sophomore year. I just didn’t know if I was ready yet.
