AUSTIN -- The Longhorns defeated No. 20 Oklahoma, 75-72, on Saturday night at the Frank Erwin Center, snapping a three-game losing streak. Texas is now 11-7 overall and 3-3 in Big 12 play.
Here are three takeaways from Saturday's game:
1. Longhorns finally close a tight game
Texas didn't shoot the ball great in the first half (only 39 percent), but its defense was stifling. The Longhorns held Oklahoma to just 33 percent from the field as they jumped out to 29-24 halftime lead, bolstered by 21 combined points from senior guard Kerwin Roach II and senior forward Dylan Osetkowski.
