On Thursday, Mansfield Legacy strong-side defensive end Taurean Carter cut some more of the fat in his recruitment and announced his top four schools. The Texas Longhorns survived the cut, yet again, along with Arkansas, Texas Tech, and Michigan State.
TCU was previously named in Carter’s top five in early July, but the Horned Frogs are no longer an option. That reality is indicative of just how much Carter’s recruitment has changed throughout the past several weeks. Just weeks before his list cut last month, Carter visited the Forty Acres for the Longhorns Heat Wave and following the event, he named Texas and TCU as the top two schools on his mind.
