An eventful eight days in quarterback recruiting for the Texas Longhorns culminated on Saturday with the flip of Austin High’s Charles Wright to the Longhorns from the Iowa State Cyclones.
In those eight days, the Longhorns also landed a commitment from 2022 Southlake Carroll quarterback Quinn Ewer, considered by some the best quarterback prospect since Vince Young, but also lost the commitment of Katy Tompkins quarterback Jalen Milroe.
The decision by Milroe to flip to Alabama left Texas head coach Tom Herman and offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich looking like a quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class.
