The Texas Longhorns missed out on a kety target on National Signing Day as Dallas Parish Episcopal offensive tackle tackle Austin Uke signed with the Stanford Cardinal over the Longhorns and others.
Uke is considered a consensus three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking, but saw his stock rise late in the cycle thanks to a strong senior showing. Prior to his senior season Uke, he held no Power Five offers and was committed to play at Holy Cross. Since October of 2020, Uke landed 16 Division I offers, including big names like Texas, Oklahoma, and Penn State.
