The Longhorns made some major strides in Year 2 under head coach Tom Herman, finishing 10-4 and upsetting fifth-ranked Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. It was Texas' first 10-win season in nearly a decade and the program's biggest bowl win since the 2009 Fiesta Bowl victory over Ohio State.
Texas will likely be ranked in the preseason top 10 heading into the 2019 season and could very well be even better than it was in 2018, as noted here.
