While many are probably still trying to collect themselves following the Texas Longhorns baseball hire, the Texas football coaching staff is still hard at work on the recruiting trail.
With the summer official visit season is now in the rear view, that doesn’t mean the staff isn’t trying to get ahead for the 2026 recruiting class. After securing the commitment of consensus five-star quarterback Dia Bell last week, the Longhorns have their class leader and it appears to now be bearing some fruit.
On Tuesday evening, consensus four-star Pearland Shadow Creek wide receiver Chris Stewart announced that he is committing to the Longhorns and joining Bell as the second member of the 2026 recruiting class.
