The NFL Draft is not going well for the Texas Longhorns.
Through three rounds, the Longhorns have not had any players taken. It’s the second time in the last four years that Texas hasn’t had a player selected in the first three rounds, and the fourth straight year the Longhorns haven’t had a first-round pick.
Defensive end Charles Omenihu, the reigning Big 12 defensive lineman of the year, is viewed as the Longhorns top prospect in this year’s draft but wasn’t among the first 102 players taken. Other prospects such as cornerback Kris Boyd, linebacker Gary Johnson and wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey haven’t seen their stocks rise.
