With only two former players from the Texas Longhorns football program getting selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, most of the three days of the event were filled with demise. The two players that the Longhorns actually had selected in this draft included the reigning Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year, defensive end Charles Omenihu, and physical cornerback Kris Boyd.
Charles Omenihu landed in the fifth round of the NFL Draft with head coach Bill O’Brien and the Houston Texans. This is a great landing spot for Charles Omenihu, since he gets to stay close to his hometown and the Forty Acres.
